Airports Authority of India (AAI) has achieved a record turnover of INR 10,825 crore, profit before tax (PBT) of INR 3,697 crore and INR 2,537 crore as profit after tax (PAT) during the 2015-16 fiscal. AAI has paid a dividend of INR 761.21 crore for 2015-16 to the Government of India.
AAI has presented a cheque amounting to INR 482.21 crore as final dividend for the 2015-16 fiscal during a function held at New Delhi.
Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra, chairman, AAI, presented the cheque to Union Minister of Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju in the presence of AAI board members, senior officers from AAI and MoCA.
In a statement, AAI said that it is a consistently profit-making public sector undertaking (PSU) and paying dividend to the government.
